Travel information
Sustainability is a top priority at our festival. We want to keep the environmental impact as low as possible through various measures. Since the arrival and departure of festival visitors causes a large part of the CO2 emissions, we see enormous potential for savings here.
Fortunately, our festival site has perfect connections to public transport. Thanks to existing collaborations with the ÖBB and the ski area Snow Space Salzburg, we can offer attractive offers for environmentally friendly travel by bus and train.
Here you will find all the details and tips on how you can travel to the festival as resource-efficiently and comfortably as possible.
Traveling by train
The St. Johann im Pongau train station can be reached from many Austrian and German cities without changing trains. The free ski bus shuttle takes you from the train station to the valley station of the Alpendorf gondola in under 10 minutes. Simply enter “Alpendorf (St. Johann im Pongau)” as the destination stop on the ÖBB website/app to find the optimal connection. We also have some savings offers to sweeten your journey by public transport.
Free public transport from the entire state of Salzburg
If you have a valid ski ticket for the Snow Space Salzburg mountain railways, you can travel free by bus and train from the entire federal state of Salzburg. In addition to your ski pass, all you have to do is purchase and download a separate public transport ticket – easily and conveniently online.
Cheap combination ticket with train journey and ski pass
The Rail Tours combination ticket includes a return journey from any train station in Austria as well as a 1-, 3- or 6-day ski pass for the Snow Space Salzburg mountain railways at a special price.
With the combination ticket you can travel relaxed and flexible. You save around 25% compared to buying the train ticket and ski pass individually. The trip is also CO2 neutral. The ticket can be easily booked online or at participating ticket offices.

ÖBB-Vorteilscard holders receive an additional 15% discount when purchasing a day lift ticket. Children up to 15 years of age also benefit from the discount if one parent has an advantage card.
